As I promised!

Well, I'll admit it (everyone really knows it anyway...) but, Motherbird does not ever talk about her favorite actresses. She likes the men. So, in lieu of the last few posts... I found a few articles with ladies who know how to act and are pretty. No Megan Foxes here, folks.

I found the Michelle Williams article on Vogue, not my favorite magazine but, it will do. On the other hand the Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender is from my favorite magazine, W. Can't wait for the first so I can get my November issue :)

okay, so I cheated a wittle... I got Fassbender for Foxtrot... she really loves him. Like... *REALLY* loves him.

Oh, Do we love this Viking or do we love him!?!?!

Over here at the Cool Club lounge, Motherbird and Foxtrot keep finding ourselves drooling over our favorite (non-sparkling) vampire... Eric. (we all know Foxtrot has the hots for Bill but... I'll stick with the Aryan) He is definitely my favorite Viking/vampire. Naturally, we're excited for Straw Dogs. Any violent gore movie that chooses to play House of the Rising Sun in its trailer has a go from me.

Here's a pretty cool article from Alexander Skarsgard, who if you didn't know is Stellan Skarsgard's wittle baby boy! (hm... should I hit on the son or the father!? oh those sexy Saxons!)

Well, here's a pretty cool article/interview with the vampire sheriff... oh how I wish I was that waitress.

As I've been writing these, I'm getting a strong male influenced-vibe. Apologies for any men reading this, we'll try to talk about girls every once in awhile...

But, I continue on with the gents...

As I'll let almost everyone know, Guillermo Del Toro is one of my *favorite* producers/directors (and then, I'll go on to tell you about how I bought this beautiful Del Toro disc collection and how it only works in Mexico....)  anyway, he's done some of my favorite movies, worked with my favorite actors and terrified me to the core... as well as warmed my heart with Barry Manilow (Abe and Red scene in Hellboy 2)

I haven't seen 'Don't be Afraid of the Dark" yet but, its on my list and I'm so looking forward to Pacific Rim with Charlie Hunnam, win? Win.

From the article below, it sounds like Del Toro has a lot of on his To-Do list, which makes me a happy gal! (sounds like I'm gonna have to start gaming...)

Unfortunately, they didn't mention 'the Strain' trilogy which Del Toro wrote, some of my favorite books!  I love these books, if you know Del Toro you'll pick up hints and nuggets from his movies. Really great reads... Blade 2 vampires? Love.  I'm currently in the middle of the second book and am still terrified to go into our storage room... day or night.

How would you like this feller in your basement? Not me.

This shmexy, jolly fellow... I'll take.
(Luke Goss... also did a splendiferous job in HB2: The Golden Army)

Enjoy!

And, finally my last indulgence for today... probably the movie I've been waiting for the longest... The Three Musketeers! Woo! Okay... calm down.

Let me just take a moment, and list all of MY men (watch out Foxtrot.... Imma call dibs right now.) that are in this movie... Ray Stevenson (huge squeal... Rome anyone? I love this man.) Orly Bloom, Christoph Waltz, Matthew Macfayden, MADS MIKKELSEN (he turns me into a hot mess every time I see him) and last but not least, Til Schweiger :)

I have no doubt that 82% of these men will in some way or another are going to... *sniffle* die.

Anyway, the author of my final link is on my hit list. Who doesn't love fancy pants mustaches, men,  period garb, feathered hats, men, eye patches, ALL OF MY MEN, flying boats, billowing skirts and.... all of my favorite people galloping around with pointy swords.

Put me down for three of the four. Not feelin' the youngin'.

Aw.... Weren't they cute? The grow up so fast...

... and turn into STUDS.

Pretty cool article! Motherbird did not know that Bill Lucking was in Star Trek: Enterprise! (which, happens to be her favorite Star Trek... Archer is a stud muffin. Especially the episode where Archer and Tucker go down to some desert planet and get all naked and sweaty........ whoa... got a little sidetracked...)

Anyway, pretty cool article about my favorite leather clad gents (and ladies!)

Andy Whitfield

Today, one of Motherbird's favorite actors, Andy Whitfield passed away. He had been battling cancer, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma for eighteen months. He was best known for his role as Spartacus in the Starz period drama "Spartacus: Blood and Sand". He stepped down during production of the second season due to his illness. Actor Liam McIntyre will be stepping up to the role of Spartacus during season three, “It’s hard. You kind of wish you didn’t have the opportunity,” McIntyre said at this year's Comic-Con about taking on the role. “The best thing I can do is bust my [butt] … and honor the legacy.” McIntyre definitely has big boots to fill.

Whitfield's wife, Vashti, released this statement this evening:

"On a beautiful sunny Sydney spring morning, surrounded by his family, in the arms of his loving wife, our beautiful young warrior Andy Whitfield lost his 18 month battle with lymphoma cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by love. Thank you to all his fans whose love and support have help carry him to this point. He will be remembered as the inspiring, courageous and gentle man, father and husband he was."

Andy will definitely be missed.

The third season of Spartacus is planned to be released early 2012.

Motherbird's Tuesday Night Moments, They're Back!

Ah... its that time of year again! The leaves are beginning to change, pumpkins are starting to plump up in the garden, Russians are being massacred and ears are being... creatively pierced! Yep! You guessed it! My leather clad, hunk-a-man meats are back on! Sons of Anarchy aired its season premiere this last Tuesday! And it defo rocked!

I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum for those who have not seen it... but, you've been warned... spoilers may pop up here and there... most likely they will.

So, with the new iPod/Android app for SOA (which everyone should invest in... very cool!) we saw that Jax was shanked in between S3 and S4 by... *gasp* those Russians! (ya know, we couldn't trust Ivan Drago... hellur?) Anyway, Jax is okay and is now looking a little... buffer! (I personally, would not bang him... but, I know the market is out there...) Okay, focus... our boys have one of my favorite type of scenes in the beginning montage:  a lovely walk together whilst playing an awesome song. I am always most affected by those first few/last minutes of SOA. With that, I nearly shat myself when I though Otto had offed himself. You know you've got a good show when I have to change my undies before the theme song plays.

So, they get home... lots of kissing, lots of banging and a really awkward conversation involving Clay, Juice and speed banging...and then horse meat in g-strings...

OPIE AND LYLA'S WEDDING! I promise to treat you as good as my leather and ride you as much as my Harley. All I can say is that I now HAVE to marry a biker man so he can say that at our wedding. Damn you SOA!!! It was a lovely wedding. Russian massacre and all...

ha! You all thought that I wasn't going to say anything! Wrong-o! TIG. TIG. TIG. I love him. And his new soul patch scruff he's got going on. He is such a man. He could ride me as hard as his Harley... Okay... I need to stop before I go overboard (I think I just did)... You'll be hearing a lot about that man because I have a serious crush on him and his chest hair. Yeah. Judge me.

As Kurt Sutter, the Pimp of SOA, as said, Sons is a bit like Hamlet. As we all know, pretty much everyone dies in Hamlet. I'm hoping SOA deaths will be... metaphoric deaths. I don't think I could handle any one of those guys... *gulp* dead. Shoot, I shed a little tear when Hale died! (he looked sooo good in that khaki police get up... and you know he secretly wanted to be a member of SAMCRO...) So, if you're reading this Mr. Sutter... METAPHORIC DEATHS ONLY. Or, you could switch it to like, Midsummer Night's Dream... where they all just end up nekked and married. I'd be down.

Anyway, the SOA premiere rocked the numbers and someone (Please, dear baby Jesus let it be me) will be hanging out with Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal (and maybe some other cast members) at Kurt and Katey's home, how cool is that!? To stay in the loop for all kinds of contests, SOA news and Kurt's totally awesome tweets go here:

Over and Out. Tig.
